Several chain pizza restaurants offer a heart shaped pizza to celebrate Valentine’s Day including Jet’s, Papa Johns, and Pizza Hut.

2. Amore Trattoria Italiana

One of the best Italian restaurants in Grand Rapids, I highly recommend checking out Amore Trattoria Italiana. With Amore (Love) in its name, this is a great restaurant to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your loved one. They offer a variety of authentic Italian dishes including antipasti, salads, and pasta. They also have some vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options on their menu.

For Valentine’s Day, I recommend booking a reservation online in advance. For special occasions and holidays, they often offer special workshops so be sure to check out their website.

Wax Poetic is located in Eastown on Lake Drive. You can purchase already made candles in their store or sit down for a candle making class. They walk you through how to successfully pair scents and provide all of the supplies. They even have DIY labels to make your candle uniquely yours.

Consider taking a painting class! There are several painting studios and paint and sip workshops in Grand Rapids. Some studios include Wine and Canvas, Brush Studio, and Spruced Studio.
